Allied Health

Where movement is medicine

At The Monday Club, we believe ageing well isn’t about pushing harder — it’s about moving smarter. That’s where allied health comes in.

Our team of qualified professionals, including physiotherapists and exercise physiologists, are here to support your strength, stability and confidence at every stage. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a health condition, or just want expert guidance as you age, our allied health crew makes sure every step you take is the right one.

This isn’t your standard gym support. It’s expert-led, age-savvy care – with movement at the core.

Physiotherapists

Exercise at the Core

Exercise at the Core

Our physiotherapists are not just about the treatment table. Yes, they can assess, test, and use hands-on skills where needed, but their real focus at Monday Club is exercise-based rehabilitation.

That means: restoring movement after injury or surgery, tailoring programs to manage arthritis, joint pain, or mobility issues, and building strength and balance to prevent falls.

Think of physio here as your bridge between medical treatment and everyday strength. Less about lying on a bed, more about getting you back to standing tall, lifting well, and moving freely.

Exercise Physiologists

Specialists in Movement for Life

Exercise physiologists (EPs) are allied health professionals who live and breathe exercise as medicine. Their training goes deep into how the body responds to activity, particularly for chronic conditions like diabetes, osteoporosis, heart disease, or simply the wear and tear of ageing.

Where a physio often starts with an injury or a specific pain point, an EP’s job is to build your long-term strength, resilience, and independence through structured exercise.

They don’t just treat a problem – they help you set a plan to move better for decades to come.

Personal Trainers with Allied Health Support

Motivation meets expertise

At The Monday Club, our personal trainers (PTs) do more than lead a good sweat session. They’re an essential part of your health journey – bringing energy, encouragement, and creativity to every workout. Whether you’re new to exercise or looking for that extra push, our PTs know how to keep things engaging, enjoyable, and just the right level of challenging.

But what truly sets them apart is how they work with our allied health team. Every PT session is backed by the guidance of our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists. That means your workouts aren’t just motivating – they’re medically informed, tailored to your body, and aligned with your broader health plan.

Just smart, supportive training designed to help you feel stronger, safer, and more in control – every step of the way.

Your Allied Health Assessment

It all starts with understanding you.

Before you dive into workouts or group classes, we take the time to get to know your body, your history, and your goals. Your Allied Health Assessment is the first step in building a safe, effective plan tailored just for you.

In this one-on-one session with a qualified physiotherapist or exercise physiologist, we’ll:

  • Chat about your health history, current lifestyle, and any concerns
  • Run simple movement and strength tests
  • Check balance, posture, and mobility
  • Talk through what you want to achieve – not what anyone else thinks you should

From there, we’ll create your personalised program. You might work directly with an allied health professional, start sessions with a PT, or join group classes – but whatever your path, our team stays connected behind the scenes to keep everything aligned and safe.

It’s not about proving your fitness. It’s about starting from where you are, and building from there – confidently.
